Deposit
To secure the tour operating, a $249.99 per person deposit is required at the time of booking.
This deposit confirms the departure regardless of final group size and allows us to schedule vehicles, activity access, and staffing in advance.
At the time of pickup:
- If 4 or more crew are attending, no additional payment is required.
- If there are 1–3 crew attending, the remaining balance for the applicable group rate is payable to driver on pickup.

🌄 7:30am Departure – Lake Tekapo Day Tour
Departure: 7:30am from hotel
Return: Approx. 4:30pm
Travel south through the Canterbury countryside and into the Mackenzie Basin, with scenic landscapes changing from rural farmland to dramatic alpine terrain.
☕ Geraldine Stop
We pause in Geraldine for a comfort stop. Time permitting, you may grab morning tea or snacks before continuing the journey.
💎 Lake Tekapo
Arrive at the stunning turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo at approximately 10:30am.
Enjoy free time to:
- Explore the lakeside village
- Visit the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd
- Head up to Mount John Observatory and enjoy views from the Astro Cafe
🏔 Optional Lake Pukaki Extension
Time permitting, your driver may include a visit to Lake Pukaki, approximately 30 minutes beyond Tekapo. This lake offers spectacular views of Aoraki / Mount Cook, New Zealand’s tallest mountain.
Departure from Tekapo: Approx. 1:30pm
Arrival back to Christchurch: Approx. 4:30pm
