Deposit

To secure the tour operating, a $124.99 per person deposit is required at the time of booking.

This deposit confirms the departure regardless of final group size and allows us to schedule vehicles, activity access, and staffing in advance.

At the time of pickup:

1. If 3 or more crew are attending, no additional payment is required.
2. If there are 1–2 crew attending, the remaining balance for the applicable group rate is payable to driver on pickup.

Duration: Approx. 5.5 hours

There is an option to combine this tour with the Alpacas Farm Tour.

$50 entry to the Alpaca Farm required to be paid on arrival to the farm. This is discounted for crew coming with CHC Crew Tours. The tour becomes a full day tour when combined and arrival back to hotel is approx 3:30pm.

Drive Time: Approx. 1.5 hours to Akaroa via the scenic Banks Peninsula.

🌊 Cruise Experience (Approx. 2 Hours)

Depart Akaroa Harbour and explore the volcanic coastline in search of:

1. The world’s smallest dolphin – the Hector's dolphin
2. New Zealand fur seals
3. Little blue penguins
4. Dramatic sea caves and coastal formations

This is a wildlife-focused, small-vessel cruise designed for close-up encounters in a safe and respectful marine environment.

1. Depart Akaroa approx. 12:15pm (10:15am sailing)
2. Or approx. 12:45pm (10:45am sailing)
3. Arrive hotel approx. 1:45pm–2:15pm depending on vessel

Non-EK Crew:

Return timing will depend on your booked cruise departure and onward flight schedule.
